Discreet shipping, delivery times and returns: what to expect buying on Amazon

How these products arrive, what to check before paying (seller, weight, returns) and how to avoid surprises with large parcels.

What to check before paying

On the product page, look at who sells it and who ships it. An item "sold and shipped by Amazon" usually has more predictable delivery and simpler claims handling than one shipped by a third party.

Check the parcel's weight and dimensions: a full figure is heavy and bulky, and it helps to know someone can receive it.

Discretion

Amazon parcels ship in standard boxes and the outside usually doesn't reveal the contents. Still, check whether the seller mentions plain packaging, and remember the product name appears in your order history and confirmation emails.

If you share an account or device, you can ship to a pickup point or locker and collect it yourself.

Returns

Intimate products often have restrictions: many can't be returned once opened. Read the return policy for that specific item before buying, not Amazon's general one.

When it arrives, check the packaging and take photos if it's damaged: that's the evidence you'll need for any claim.

Delivery times and tracking

Heavy items can take longer and are sometimes carried by a different freight company. Keep the tracking number and schedule delivery for a day when someone is home.
