How to tell if it's safe and not a scam: signs before you buy
Safe materials, chemical smell, stolen photos and impossible prices: the checklist for buying with a clear head.
Material safety
Look for products that state medical-grade silicone or phthalate-free TPE. A strong, lingering chemical smell when you open the box is a bad sign. A mild new-material smell fades with ventilation and a wash.
Signs of a dubious listing
Professional catalog-style photos with not a single customer image, copied descriptions, prices far below average, no reviews or all-identical recent ones. If it looks too good to be true, it is.
How to read reviews
Look at reviews with photos and the three-star ones, which tend to be the most honest. Look for comments on smell, real feel, condition on arrival and seller support, not just "arrived fast".
Backup
Prefer sellers with a track record, a clear return policy and reachable support. Always paying inside Amazon, never outside, keeps you covered by its claims guarantee.
