Size, weight and where to store it: torso or full figure
A full figure weighs tens of kilos. Before choosing, think about space, weight and handling: we help you decide between a torso and a full body.
Weight is the most common surprise
A life-size figure usually weighs between 55 and 100 lb (25–45 kg); a torso, much less. Moving, dressing or storing it takes strength and room. Before buying, think about how you'll get it from the box to where it will live.
Torso: the sensible way in
It costs less, takes little space and is easier to clean and store. It's the best first step if you're not sure which material or style you prefer.
Full figure: for those with space
It adds realism and pose versatility, especially if the interest is artistic, photographic or companionship. It needs a permanent spot, a good way to store it and hands to move it.
Where to store it
A deep closet, a long storage box or a cover with a handle solves both space and discretion. Avoid hot attics and damp basements, which damage the material.
